With the help of the CNN map, here's my prediction for the 2008 election as of 9:47 EST on Monday, Nov. 3
Obama 329
McCain 209
Here's my idea
Obama: Maine, New Hamp., Vermont, Conn., Mass., RI., New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Delaware, New York, Penn. (late count, Obama edges McCain in the end), Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois
McCain: W. Va.,Ohio (upset), North Carolina, S. Car., Georgia, Miss., Alabama, Ark., Ken., Tenn., Ind.
At this point, by the time the race hits the Mississippi River, it's 205-108. Game over. Calif. has 55 votes, putting Obama at 260. with Washington and Oregon at 18 votes, giving Obama 278. That's without Hawaii, Colorado, New Mexico or Nevada in the west. That's more than enough.
This is either a race where McCain has a tie by the River, or it's settled by the river. There's no in between.
